Professor Dr. Ingrid Schneider is Professor of Political Science in the Department of Informatics at University of Hamburg, Germany. Her research fields are technology assessment, governance, law, data economy, and ethics of IT on which she has published numerous publications. Since 1996, she has advised several institutions, including the European Parliament and the European Commission, the German Parliament, and has acted as Board Member of various European Scientific Associations and Research Projects.
Among current research projects are “PRODIGEES – Promoting Research on Digitalisation in Emerging Powers and Europe Towards Sustainable Development” (2020-2025, EU funded) in which she did several months of fieldwork on platform regulation in Mexico, Brazil and India.
