ITU Webinar on Consumer protection in the digital age, Data Privacy and Protection

All panellists agreed on the importance of consumer protection in the digital age so as to foster trust and promote inclusion. It was emphasised that industry, regulators and consumers must work together to tackle online safety’s manifold and complex challenges. Global cooperation, capacity building, and collaborative regulation are needed, especially as digital services blur the boundaries between sectors and geographies.
